Notification: Results of the preliminary round will be decided on March 1, 2012. At that time, the semi-finalists will be notified by e-mail.
Semi-Final Round (March 30, 2012)
The 24 semi-finalists will compete before a panel of three judges on Friday, March 30, 2012 between the hours of 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Approximately ten performers will be selected to advance to the final round.

Final Round (March 31, 2012)
The final competition will be held on the evening of March 31, 2012, before a live audience and a panel of judges.
Final Rehearsal: You will have an opportunity to rehearse with the accompanist on Saturday morning, March 31, 2012, by assigned time in twenty minute sessions. At that time, you will have the opportunity to fine tune performance details for the final round competition to be held that evening.
Final Round Competition: You will be asked to give a brief introduction of your piece to the audience. After your performance, the panel is invited and encouraged to offer constructive and professional commentary. The judges typically offer direct, tactful and constructive observations on the nature of the performance and the artist's strengths and weaknesses. As participants have noted every year, this has been an extremely valuable aspect of Classical Idol for the contestants.
Awards
The judges will award cash prizes to the top three singers. Additionally the audience will choose a favorite performer for a separate cash prize. If you are chosen as the first place winner, you will meet with ROS Artistic Director, Eric Townell to determine the pieces you will sing for a future ROS concert. The final choice of performance material will be determined by Maestro Townell.
