Rochester Oratorio Society Postpones Remainder of 2019-2020 Season
The Rochester Oratorio Society announced today that the remainder of their 2019-2020 season has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes a performance of Bloch’s “Sacred Service” scheduled for April 24 at Hochstein Performance Hall and the Rochester International Vocal Competition Semi-Final and Final rounds scheduled for May 1-2 at the Lyric Theatre.
Events such as a “Sacred Service” discussion at Writers & Books and performances in collaboration with Alfred State College and the Fort Hill Performing Arts center have also been postponed.
“We are working hard to reschedule these performances, and will communicate updates as they become available,” said Maestro Eric Townell, Artistic Director. “The health and safety of our members, audience, and staff are of the utmost importance to us, and we will be closely following the situation and complying with government mandates. We look forward to sharing another season of exciting and rewarding performances with you when the time is right.”
Ticket holders will be notified once performances have been rescheduled and will have the option to exchange their tickets, donate them back to the organization or request a refund. Patron services can be reached at (585) 473-2234 on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. or at info@rossings.org.
