Featuring Resonanz

A poignant and moving account of the Fisk University Singers’ historic tour through the US and New York, the UK, and the Continent, told through their original songs for soloists, narrator, Gospel choruses, and jazz combo. Resonanz and special guests present the first US performance of this amazing piece with music by Harvey Brough and Words by Justin Butcher.

Our featured soloists include:

Alexis Peart – A mezzo-soprano, hailed for her “plush yet robust voice” and “incredible clarity.” She has performed with Boston Lyric Opera, Wolf Trap Opera Studio, Chautauqua Opera Company, and more, and she can be heard on the Boston Modern Orchestra Project and Odyssey Opera Grammy-nominated recording of Anthony Davis’ X: The Life and Times of Malcolm X and on several art song recordings released by PARMA Recordings, LLC.

Fredrick Redd – A multi-talented veteran singer, actor, and industry professional, he is celebrated for his remarkable performances both in the US and internationally. Fredrick has established himself as a formidable presence on the stage. His illustrious career boasts over 300 performances in the New York City area, including eight returns to Carnegie Hall’s iconic main stage. Redd has also taught vocal classes at Brown University and Rochester Institute of Technology.
