Martin Palmeri’s “Misa a Buenos Aires” is an immensely popular, worldwide sensation, blending traditional Latin mass texts with Tango music, bandoneon, and irresistible rhythms. With the beautifully serene and timely “Psalm for the Living,” by perhaps the greatest Black American composer, William Grant Still. Alicia Esmeralda Barry joins the ROS as mezzo-soprano soloist.

Produced in collaboration with the Rochester Latino Theatre Company. RLTC artists will perform excerpts of literature from all over the Latin world in Spanish and English as well as ASL interpretation during the concert

Cash donations, as well as donations of food, clothing, and personal items, will be accepted to benefit Action for A Better Community, in recognition of their 60th Season.

Arrive by 7:00 PM for a Tango demonstration with Speakeasy Tango before the concert.

“Misa a Buenos Aires” de Martín Palmeri es inmensamente popular, sensación mundial, mezclando textos tradicionales de misa en Latín con Música de tango, bandoneón y ritmos irresistibles. Con el “Salmo para los vivos”, bellamente sereno y oportuno, tal vez por el mayor compositor Afroamericano, William Grant Still. Alicia Esmeralda Barry se incorpora a la ROS como mezzosoprano solista.
